Below Zero

I went down about as far as I could go. I hit the ground below zero.

The endless road slipped on through the night. The radio glow, "Slow Turning" left and right.

A million eyes with a stranger's face inside. 

A lonely cry and a lonely tear I could not hide.

I could not eat, I could not sleep. I could only run.

I saw everything, I heard every sound. And I hated everyone.

I saw the beast, with the evil eye.

If I had my rifle in my hand. Lord, Lord I'd shoot him from the sky.

I'd shoot him from the sky.

Below Zero.

It I ever come up, I'll put my back to the Northern Sky.

And the Southern Cross will shine hard before my eyes.

My life will mean, something more. And my sun will rise on a salty shore.
