Lyrics

School is no place for kids anymore.
We've got guerrilla warfare in the school corridors.
And we bury our heads in the sand that is shifting,
while we measure ourselves in line with the system.

When I opened my eyes today,
I could see the clouds coming to take me down.
With the only answers to my prayers buried underground.

They are locking us in cages; our streets have turned to barracks.
We're kept in these boxes 'til our bones turn to ashes.
And why don't we question anymore? We are spoonfed with chaos and nurture disillusionment.
We're chained to oppression by this constant confusion.
What have we become?

We pollute this planet with our lies.
Then we cleanse with politics as our disguise.
We speak words of freedom from a stolen tongue.
While we throw up our hands at all the damage we've done.

When I opened my eyes today,
I could see the clouds coming to take me down.
With the only answers to my prayers buried underground, underground, underground.

They are locking us in cages, our streets have turned to barracks,
We're kept in these boxes 'til our bones turn to ashes.
And why don't we question anymore? We are spoonfed with chaos and nurture disillusionment. We're chained to oppression by this constant confusion. What have we become?
